Advancement is part of POELLATH’s corporate culture

Dr. Lisa Beck, Senior Associate, Private Clients, Munich

To advise family entrepreneurs and wealthy individuals at a high level – that was my wish when I joined POELLATH after my second state examination. Since 2016, I have therefore been part of our Private Clients team in Munich.

The scope of our Private Clients practice is quite broad, ranging from corporate and tax law, classical inheritance and family law to foundation and charity law. For First Years, this abundance of topics can perhaps seem a little overwhelming. But don’t worry, that feeling will pass with time.

I personally found my focus at POELLATH over the years in civil law. I spend a large part of my time dealing with questions of inheritance and corporate law regarding business succession, often in connection with questions on foundation or charity law. In addition, over the years a new field of business has developed in which I am increasingly active – advising and representing wealthy individuals in divorce proceedings. The resulting expansion of our consultancy spectrum was obvious for us, as the drafting of marriage contracts had always been part of our work. Yet, taking over the procedural support of our clients in divorce cases was also something new for us. However at POELLATH, ongoing development is part of our corporate culture.

In the meantime, we have worked intensively on divorce law for several years and this area has developed into an important building block in our field of activity. It was very exciting for me to be able to participate so intensively in this development process. I do not take it for granted that I have already been given so much say and freedom at the associate level.
