Management participation in the conflict between economics and law
Management participation programs (MPPs) are among the key tools for incentivizing executives in the private equity sector. The 31st Munich M&A Forum made it clear: there are hardly any standard solutions—what is needed are tailored structures that serve the interests of both investors and management. Following a brief welcome and introduction of the panelists by board member Dr. Daniel Wiegand (Hengeler Mueller) and a general introduction by Dr. Benedikt Hohaus, Prof. Dr. Alexander Götz (Blättchen & Partner), Laurent Müller (BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital AG), and Martin Neutzner (EY GmbH & Co. KG WP) discussed current trends, structuring approaches, and tax aspects of MPPs together with Dr. Hohaus.
