Property tax update spring 2026 – federal model

Following the property tax reform, numerous tax courts had already examined the requirements of the federal model and, for the most part, had not raised any constitutional concerns. At the end of last year, the Federal Fiscal Court (BFH) also commented on the controversial constitutionality of the federal model and confirmed the prevailing opinion of the tax courts.
