POELLATH advises Dr. Andree Kang as investor and manager on investment in Spiegel Institut

Dr. Kang also joins managing director Beate Irmer’s team as CEO. Among other positions, he was previously a partner at Rhein Invest, is a co-investor & trustee of European Investment Fund (EIF) and brings over 20 years of experience and expertise from various top management functions to the company.

Spiegel Institut is an international research and consulting company for consumer research and user experience consulting. The range of services also includes usability engineering, UX empowerment and data consulting. Since its foundation in 1950, the family-owned company has established itself as a leading developer of innovative and forward-looking concepts at the interface between man and machine. In the last fiscal year, Spiegel Institute employed more than 130 people at seven locations in Germany and Asia.

Rhein Invest is a German-Dutch investment company run by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, which makes long-term investments in medium-sized companies with strong DNA. In doing so, the fund is similar to an evergreen structure and enables investments with no fixed term. The interdisciplinary team is based in Amstelveen near Amsterdam and has both Dutch and German employees. The company invests especially in profitable companies in the industrial, software, services, food and agricultural technology sectors.
