POELLATH advises Ferdinand Piëch Holding on sale of the Calwer Passage in Stuttgart

Der Konzern Versicherungskammer aus München hat die Calwer Passage an der Ecke Rothebühlplatz/Theodor-Heuss-Straße in Stuttgart erworben.

The Munich-based insurance group Versicherungskammer has acquired the Calwer Passage on the corner of Rothebühlplatz and Theodor-Heuss-Strasse in Stuttgart. The seller is Ferdinand Piëch Holding, which recently renovated the innovative building complex in a prime location and constructed a new building. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The arcade, which was opened towards the end of the 1970s, covers almost 5,000 m² and is regarded as an ecological showcase project. The green façade of approx. 1,700 linear meters, roughly the size of a soccer field, binds C02 and particulate matter, generates oxygen and thus improves air quality. The property is predominantly used for commercial purposes; the main tenant is the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle. In addition to the intensively landscaped facade, special features include modern office space and high-quality apartments, as well as the historic landmark glass dome.

POELLATH provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Ferdinand Piëch Holding within the context of the transaction with the following Berlin team:
