POELLATH advises management of Oikos Group on sale to Goldman Sachs
POELLATH advised the management of Oikos Group on the sale to Goldman Sachs. The seller is the private equity firm Equistone, which acquired the group at the beginning of 2018. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or further details. The sale is still subject to antitrust approvals.
Oikos Group, based in Schlüchtern, Hesse, is one of the leading B2C providers of single-family homes and duplexes. Its focus is on creating future-proof, sustainable residences. The company combines the Bien-Zenker, Hanse Haus and Living Haus brands and offers its customers houses at all stages of fabrication with the highest quality and sustainability standards, from frameworks to ready-to-occupy residential solutions. The group employs around 1,300 people in its core markets of Germany, Austria, the UK and Switzerland.
Together with Equistone, Oikos Group has strengthened its leading position across Europe, purposefully targeting key areas such as digitalization, expansion of ESG competencies and a sustainable marketing strategy.
