POELLATH advises Mister Spex on the acquisition of Tribe GmbH
Founded in 2018, Tribe GmbH specializes in AI-based applications designed to improve the customer’s experience when buying glasses. The company had already implemented virtual fittings on Instagram for Mister Spex in early 2020. In the future, AI-based solutions in optometry will be developed jointly, while Tribe will act independently and autonomously.
Mister Spex was founded in 2007 and is now the leading omnichannel optician in Europe. In just a few years, the company has developed from a purely online retailer to a successful omnichannel player with more than 450 employees, over five million customers in 10 European countries and its own numerous stationary stores throughout Germany.
