P+P Pöllath + Partners advises Hubert Burda Media on investment in

As part of a series B financing round, Burda Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (private limited company) ("Burda") acquires a majority stake in Good Hood GmbH, to which the neighborhood platform belongs. The founders will remain shareholders of Good Hood GmbH.

Burda has been a significant majority shareholder of Good Hood GmbH since 2016. Deutsche Tele Medien GmbH, Nordwest-Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft and the venture arm of the Pressedruck Augsburg media group are also invested. has been around for five years and now has 8,000 neighborhoods with a total of around 1.7 million users in Germany.

Through the platform, the founders support the networking between people who live next door to each other, but often don't even know each other. Particularly in Corona times, the number of members has grown significantly and the exchange between neighbors has increased considerably, be it that neighbors take over shopping for each other and other offers of help, as well as establishing local group gatherings.
