In the coming years, Germany will need to invest substantial sums in the expansion and modernization of its infrastructure—to support the energy transition through the expansion of renewable energy generation capacity and power grids, to drive the digital transformation through nationwide fiber-optic and 5G network expansion, and to modernize the transportation network.
