POELLATH advises Caleus Capital Partners on acquisition of TechnoCampus Berlin
AXA IM Alts (“AXA”), a global leader in alternative investments, is selling its majority stake in the TechnoCampus Berlin office complex to Caleus Capital Partners II (“Caleus”), the investment management platform of Caleus Group. The transaction is scheduled to close in October 2022. POELLATH provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Caleus in connection with the acquisition.
At the end of 2018, AXA acquired TechnoCampus Berlin along with Caleus Group on behalf of clients. Since the acquisition, the development of the historic, landmark red brick building into a modern office campus has progressed. In 2022, the campus was expanded with two sustainable and flexible new buildings totaling over 60,000m², making it one of Berlin’s most dynamic and innovative workplaces. The first of the two new building sections had already been fully leased. The converted historic existing building of the TechnoCampus remains fully leased with a diverse and strong tenant structure. Caleus will continue to manage the campus and pursue its development.
