POELLATH advises Egeria on acquisition of Junge Die Bäckerei.
The independent investment company Egeria has acquired a stake in Junge Die Bäckerei., a leading provider of retail bakery and catering concepts in northern Germany. The Junge family will remain closely associated with the company as shareholders and in an advisory capacity. Together with Egeria, the company aims to further expand its market position in the current regions and strategically expand into new markets. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details. The transaction is still subject to the standard regulatory approvals.
This established company in Lübeck was founded in 1897 by the Junge family and now operates 210 retail locations and three production facilities in Lübeck, Rostock, and Greifswald. Junge Die Bäckerei. stands for high value creation, operational excellence and efficiency. With entrepreneurial vision and a unique, family-oriented corporate culture, the company has become the leading provider of retail bakery and catering concepts in northern Germany.
