POELLATH advises FIRE HOLDING GmbH on acquisition of shares in TBS Brandschutz Group

With the acquisition of TBS Group, Fire Holding GmbH achieves a major milestone in the German fire protection market in the first year after participation by financial investor Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG). DBAG is a listed private equity company that initiates closed-end private equity funds. DBAG advises and manages these funds by acquiring investments and supporting the portfolio companies during the investment period through to sale.

Founded in 1998 in Altomüster, TBS Group is a provider of solutions for turnkey fire extinguishing systems for customers in a variety of end markets, such as the furniture, paper, automotive, manufacturing and chemical industries. As a fully integrated provider, the company offers all services from planning and installation to maintenance and servicing of fire protection systems. With its demand-oriented service portfolio, TBS Group has successfully established itself as a leading supplier of sprinkler, flood and foam extinguishing systems. The company has a history spanning more than 20 years, during which the group has grown to 3 companies with over 300 employees.

In August 2020, together with KLOEPFEL Corporate Finance as M&A advisors, POELLATH had advised the shareholders of Multimon AG, including the board member and current shareholder/managing director of Fire Holding GmbH, Mr. Edward Skube, on the sale to DBAG / Fire Holding GmbH. Skube and the majority shareholder DBAG now rely on the same team of advisors for the additional acquisition of the TBS Group.
