POELLATH advises a successful tech founder with US connections on issues of tax residency and the implications and possibilities of relocation. Among other things, this involves questions of exit tax due to held shares and share options. In addition, POELLATH advises on issues relating to current taxation of crypto tokens, including wage tax and cross-border aspects.
POELLATH is also planning further asset structuring and estate planning and is clarifying various legal issues relating to inheritance and gift tax in this context.
The advice relates to questions of both national tax law and the law of the DTA USA. The client is advised in close cooperation with US colleagues so that all aspects of international taxation are taken into account for the client.
