P+P advises NPS Korea on sale of Sony Center

The National Pension Fund of South Korea (NPS Korea) has sold the Sony Center in Berlin in a share deal. The acquirer is a joint venture between the Canadian investor Oxford Properties and the American investor Madison International Realty. The purchase price amounts to approx. EUR 1.1 billion. This may well be one of the largest individual sales of the year. The transaction is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.

NPS Korea acquired the Sony Center in 2010. The advisor, both then and now, is Hines Immobilien GmbH, which has also served as asset manager in the interim.
