P+P advises Zur Rose Group on acquisition of TeleClinic

Zur Rose Group has acquired Munich-based TeleClinic GmbH ("TeleClinic") for a purchase price for an amount in the mid-two digit million Euros range.

TeleClinic was founded in 2015 by Katharina Jünger and quickly established itself as the leading telemedicine provider in Germany. The company provides telemedicine services, including digital prescriptions and medical certificates that conform to the German health insurance reimbursement provisions. After a diagnosis by a medical specialist, the patients receive an e-prescription on the basis of a TeleClinic solution via app on their handy, which they can redeem at a local or mail-order pharmacy. Online illness certificates can be sent directly by e-mail to the employer. Doctors can connect to the platform easily and without obligation and offer their expertise in a flexible manner from any location.

The Swiss Zur Rose Group is Europe's largest e-commerce pharmacy and one of the leading physician wholesaler in Switzerland. It also operates the leading marketplace for the healthcare and skin care products often found in pharmacies in southern Europe. The company operates internationally, inter alia, with Germany's most well-known pharmacy brand DocMorris. Zur Rose employs over 1,800 people at its locations in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and France. In 2019, it generated turnover of 1,569 million Swiss Francs (including medpex) with approximately 9 million active customers in Europe's core markets.

P+P Pöllath + Partners advised the Zur Rose Group on the acquisition with the following team:

Christiane Mühe (Funke Mühe Attorneys and Notaries) accompanied the transaction notarially.
