Podcast: Green advertising or already greenwashing?
“Sustainable”, ‘green’ or ‘impact’ - fund managers are increasingly advertising with environmental or sustainability-related terms on their websites, in pitch decks or in the fund name itself. The question is, in which cases is this still permissible and when can there be legal consequences, whether under civil, regulatory or even criminal law?
In a recent episode of the SWR podcast series “Die Justizreporter*innen”, POELLATH lawyer Katharina Hammer explains how thin the line between green advertising and greenwashing sometimes is and how she advises fund managers on the topic of sustainability.
