Next steps: Our new partner and counsel ap-pointments & elections to the management board

POELLATH is pleased to congratulate a total of twelve colleagues on taking the next step in their careers this year. The partnership thus sends a strong signal for the continued develop-ment and growth of the firm.

Six new partners and associated partners

Dr. Marcus Niermann (private clients, Berlin), an experienced colleague, joins the circle of equity partners. In addition, Dr. Daniel Elbel (real estate, Berlin), Dr. Sebastian Rosentritt (M&A/private equity/venture capital, Munich), Raphael Baumgartner (tax, Munich), Andreas Kühnert (M&A/private equity/venture capital, Munich) and Dr. Kay-Uwe Neumann (corporate and capital markets law, Frankfurt/Munich) have been elected as associated partners.

Dr. Marcus Niermann is a new equity partner in the private clients practice in Berlin. He advises high net worth individuals, foundations, trusts and family businesses, particularly on succession planning, relocation and residency issues and cross-border structures.

Dr. Daniel Elbel is the new associated partner in the real estate practice in Berlin. He advises national and international clients on real estate project developments and real estate transactions, as well as on joint ventures and asset management.

Dr. Sebastian Rosentritt is the new associated partner in the M&A/private equity and venture capital practice in Munich. He has advised national and international companies on corporate/M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions for many years.

Raphael Baumgartner is the new associated partner in the tax practice in Munich. He advises on national and international tax law and, in particular, advises private equity and venture capital funds with a focus on tax compliance, fund structures and investments.

Andreas Kühnert is a new associated partner in the M&A/private equity and venture capital practice in Munich. He advises entrepreneurs, corporations and funds on M&A transactions, as well as start-ups, founders and investors on venture capital financing. His advice is focused on corporate M&A and corporate VC transactions.

Dr. Kay-Uwe Neumann is a new associated partner in the corporate and capital markets practice in Frankfurt and Munich. He advises listed stock corporations on corporate, commercial and group law issues, with a focus on public takeovers, structural measures and corporate law disputes.

Six new counsel – a strong signal for the next generation

POELLATH also underscores its strong development potential at the counsel level. The partnership has elected the following six colleagues as counsel: in Frankfurt, Franzisca Anna Stuckenberg (investment funds); in Berlin, David Ben Kaiser (investment funds); and in Munich, Dr. Christian M. König (private clients), Dr. Matthias Meier (M&A/private equity), Stefan Schmuck (M&A/private equity) and Dr. Michael de Toma (M&A/private equity).

Transition in the POELLATH Management Board

As of January 1, 2026, Berlin-based investment funds partner Dr. Jens Steinmüller, is appointed to the management board. He succeeds Berlin-based real estate partner Dr. Matthias Durst, who is stepping down after a three-year term. In addition to Jens Steinmüller, corporate partner Dr. Eva Nase and tax partner Peter F. Peschke (both Munich) will continue to serve on the management board.
