POELLATH advises Munich-based camera and lighting manufacturer ARRI
Munich-based premium manufacturer ARRI, a global leader in professional camera, lighting and system technologies for film and media productions, is gaining a new owner after more than 100 years of family ownership. Entrepreneur Thomas Riedel, founder and sole owner of the Riedel Communications Group, has acquired ARRI through an international bidding process.
Founded in 1917, ARRI has been family-owned ever since. The company, which has received 20 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has established itself as an innovation leader over several decades. ARRI will continue to operate as an independent company, with its headquarters in Munich.
The existing management team will continue and further develop the transformation process already underway and, together with the Riedel Communications Group, open up new growth areas - particularly in live entertainment and sports.
