POELLATH advises VALLEY IT GROUP on acquisition of cosmico GmbH
VALLEY IT GROUP, a leading German IT services buy-and-build platform, has acquired cosmico GmbH (“cosmico”), a growing IT company with a comprehensive service portfolio. The merger is a key component of VALLEY IT GROUP’s long-term growth strategy. The aim is to further increase the quality, performance and resilience of the managed services and expand the portfolio in a targeted manner with expertise in the SME segment. POELLATH provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to VALLEY IT GROUP in connection with the acquisition.
Based in Ehingen (near Ulm), cosmico GmbH supports small and medium-sized enterprises in southern Germany with comprehensive, all-inclusive services for their IT infrastructure. The range of services extends from IT support and IT security to cloud and modern workplace solutions, digitalization and process optimization. With the highest security standards, individual consulting and scalable solutions, cosmico ensures that companies can fully concentrate on their core business. The company employs 23 people and has another location in Bad Saulgau, in addition to its headquarters in Ehingen.
As a managed service provider (MSP), VALLEY IT GROUP supports its customers in their digital transformation. In addition to Weiss IT Solutions as a managed onsite IT service provider, the group also includes PKN as a full-service IT provider, cloud solution provider REALCLOUD Services, the regional IT team player in Bavaria integer, the Gelsenkirchen-based IT system house CNS Computer Network Systemengineering, and the third-party maintenance service provider amalphi. With the addition of cosmico, VALLEY IT GROUP strengthens its market position in the DACH region and expands its presence, particularly in Baden-Württemberg. Regional proximity to its customers remains a central element of the group model.
