P+P advises Cavalry Ventures on the launch of a new EUR 80 million early stage venture capital fund

Berlin-based early stage investor Cavalry Ventures recently held the final closing of its new venture capital fund "Cavalry Ventures II" with a volume of EUR 80 million (at hard cap). The investor base includes the European Investment Fund (EIF) and KfW Capital.

As its predecessor fund, Cavalry Ventures II focuses on early-stage investments in start-up companies in the DACH region. With EUR 80 million fund volume, Cavalry Ventures II has more than 3.5x the size of the predecessor fund. The increased volume provides more opportunity to support portfolio companies with follow-on financing. This is especially relevant as Cavalry Ventures leads more than 80% of its portfolio companies from angel/seed phase to a successful Series A, which is 4x European industry average.
